Through marriage conferences, weekly small group studies, and couple-to-couple marriage mentoring, we strive to help build marriages on a Biblical foundation.

Why Is Marriage Ministry Important?

God is the author of the marriage relationship. The institution of marriage goes all the way back to the beginning of God’s creation when he formed Adam from the dust of the ground and then formed Eve from one of Adam’s ribs.  God ordained marriage as a covenant relationship between one man and one woman.  It is the only relationship that God has designed for sexual expression, and marriage is the firmest foundation for building a family.

Today, the institution of marriage is under assault more than ever before.  Due to unrealistic expectations, and the lack of a Christian foundation and training, the current divorce rate is around 50%.  Marriage is a lifetime commitment that should be entered into prayerfully with open eyes and understanding.  Research has shown that couples who receive at least 8 hours of premarital training are 30% less likely to get divorced, and 80% of couples who received premarital training stayed together.

Even couples who have been married 20, 30, 40+ years are divorcing at an increasingly alarming rate.  Many of these marriages can be saved and strengthened through seminars and small group studies that focus on maintaining a strong, loving relationship and communicating well with your spouse.  Through love and dedication first to God and then to each other, marriage can be joyful, loving, and a great adventure together.
